Rephrasing to want you want

One thing that is very interesting is rephrasing your sentences to speak of what you want and not what you don't what. For example if I say "Don't slam the door", you are using a negative word(don't) and saying what you don't want. Now to make this a positive statement say: "Please close the door quietly". It is something so simple but it really makes sense. I read this in one of my loa books. Other negative words to steer clear of a are "No, not and Don't" in your sentences.
